An Encouraging New Year

2009 has started with a bang! I'm really excited by the Lord and how He is working and speaking to me.

The Wednesday Night Group has been awesome. Sunday mornings at Bible & Bagel Fellowship continues to challenge me. The other night my wife and I went to a concert/worship service that kept me in tears of joy. It appears that those that I am close to are experiencing good things too. Yesterday I gathered with some friends. We broke bread, sang, laughed, and prayed. It was a wonderful time.

The Lord keeps reminding me of the importance of building each other up. In 1 Corinthians 14:12 Paul says, "..since you are eager for manifestations of the Spirit, strive to excel in building up the church." Also 1 Corinthians 14:26 says, "What then brothers? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up." And lastly, " Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing." 1 Thessalonians 5:11.

That's what I want to focus on this year, encouraging my brothers and sisters. I want to focus on building up the body of Christ. If you are on Facebook, join my group titled "the Way". It will be one way of encouraging others and being encouraged. God bless y'all real good.
